Marcella vampire mage Royal Blood Chronicles eBook Elizabeth Loraine

Marcella, Vampire Mage is a delightful, whimsical novella with a magical forest full of fairies and unicorns. Our heroine is utterly perfect in her innocent, caring nature complete with super-hearing, super-vision, strength, speed, near invulnerability, not to mention being able to wield magic and power blast and without any of the flaws of the stereotypical vampires. Flaws are usually what make a character fascinating, because we, as readers, can relate to the flaws and I honestly couldn’t find any flaws with Marcella. With the simplistic dialogue and whim sic nature of the story, I almost pegged this as a Children’s book with Marcella acting and sounding closer to 12 or 13, though the ending does go relatively dark. I worried that the rest of the series might also be in this juvenile nature (I started with this volume because I was trying to clear short novellas off my Kindle), but reading through the first chapter of the excerpt at the end of the book (as one of the other reviewers suggested, 4 sample chapters was a bit much. I’d consider cutting it down to 1 or 2 since the person who downloaded feels a bit cheated when the Marcella story stops at 50 percent and we have sample chapters from there on), the rest of the series feels aimed at an older audience (Which is good. Marcella, though sweet, felt too young for my tastes. And I had been expecting a vampire novel with the usual gothic atmosphere). I did love the character of Kaer and would love to see him continue to pop up in the series. The character of Morna, though barely a footnote, intrigued me and made me wonder if he was the typical Legolas elf or if there were hidden depths to his character just waiting to surface. I did enjoy reading Marcella’s story and experiencing the dreamlike fantasy world through her eyes and would recommend this to those who love their fantasy stories chock full of unicorns, and fairies, and elves.

Marcella vampire mage Royal Blood Chronicles eBook Elizabeth Loraine Reviews

very, very good. I was totally absorbed in the story line of this book. I really had a difficult time putting this one down.
I just finished the book...It tells a great story about Marcella. She is the sister of Cain and half sister of Damien. She is so talented. She has a tender heart with a good head on her shoulders. All she wants to do is learn how to help "The 5 Protectors". She proved she has what is takes...
Elizabeth has once again described her in such great detail that she could be your own little sister. I LOVED the book. I would love to have her extend this into a full novel!
Thanks for such a Fantastic Read!
Some of the grammar and spelling is incorrect, otherwise great book! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a deeper insight into this character.
I love love love anything written by Elizabeth Lorraine. We first met Marcella in the underworld of Althar during the Five's travels. It was then we realized that she was actually good at heart and she swore to help Katrina and the girls in their quest. I LOVED THIS SHORT!!!! Finally a focus on the amazing little witch we just got a glimpse of previously! She is bold, daring and everything that she wa ts to be --only she has yet to see those qualities in herself. My only gripe here .....Too Short! I want a spinoff series of a few novels based on the witch school. Its nice to see the way ea h student is portrayed with different levels of powers from different supernatural communities....really a new and awesome concept here.
This book was a pretty good read. Different take on vampire's. It kept my interest and made me want to get the next book to continue reading. Only bad thing was the story was followed by another story Royal Blood Chronicle Book One which is set during a time prior to Marcella so I kind of know who doesn't die and who isn't a villan...So, read that book first before Marcella.
I really enjoyed this glimpse of Marcella in Nira's school. How much she wants to help and be like Katrina.
I am late in my review as I read this several (34 -
5 years ago), but here goes! This was a great attention getter! I couldn't wait to go more into the series and eventually caught up with the author's release dates.
