I would have given Aire five stars, but I felt Anna was a bit weak for a heroine. That being said as a free download Aire was a steal. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up another one of Goldfinches novels.

This book captured me with its beautiful cover. I couldn't put down the book once I started very well written.
Words can't express how wonderful this book is. I loved every minute of it and was sad to see it end.
This book was well written and was difficult to put down. I enjoyed the colorful characters. The main plot was spell binding and I enjoyed all the twists and turns the story provided. I would recommend this book to others in a heart beat!

An excellent and clean novel for teenagers and YA. Although the plots was at times a bit tedious and introspective, I thoroughly enjoyed visiting a new world and meeting its inhabitants. An easy and enjoyable read - with the potential for a sequel.
I enjoyed this book very much. The story was exciting, and the the characters interesting and well developed. It has a strong heroine who also has a mysterious power she believes she must keep secret. The book examines themes of sacrifice and identity.
As a teacher in middle school, have read many young adult books. I found this story and others by Lena Goldfinch to be somewhat unique. The story line draws the reader in with anticipation of what will happen next to out endearing characters. This story has imaginative adventures, and engaging characters. It provides some historical interest with a blend of adventure and romance. The touch of romance is whimsical and in good taste. I would recommend this book to be part of a young adult book group. It will provide a springboard for many interesting discussions.
